Why you should be our bride blogger?:  A vacation to Hawaii in 2007 led to more than a suntan--it led to love. Mike was stationed at Pearl Harbor as a Submarine Officer. After many phone conversations, and trips across the Pacific Ocean and to the East Coast, I fell for this great guy. Now, following 40 roundtrip flights and a romantic proposal, he is jumping ship (literally!) and moving here! Not only are we planning a wedding; we are also transplanting this sailor to the "North Star State!" Let the fun begin on this adventure (and his first winter in MinneSNOWta)!

Why you should be our bride blogger?:  The romantic vision we had of eloping to the rugged shoreline of Ireland was shattered with the words “I can’t wait to walk you down the aisle! This is going to be great!” Errrrm...and so the wedding planning began. To try and recreate our dreams of Ireland we have decided to exchange vows on the North Shore of Lake Superior. Our wedding will be unique---no specified bridesmaid dresses, a bonfire on the beach, and 150 guests all crammed into a northern Minnesota resort. Did I mention my sister got engaged 9 days before me? Fun.

Why you should be our bride blogger?:  My fiance and I have two loves: each other and Minnesota. He proposed at the State Capitol. Like our engagement, we want a Minnesota wedding. Whatever the theme, all Minnesotans bring some North-Star style to their weddings. As the state’s “Every Bride,” I would benefit readers by sharing state-based planning insights, while entertaining them with direct, witty writing about the home we share. Should your next bridal blogger be planning a wedding in which the bride is strong, the groom is good-looking, and all the guests are above average? You betcha!

Why you should be our bride blogger?:  I believe that many brides who read Aisle File are similar to me: they are looking to have a fabulous, jaw-dropping wedding, but don't have $50,000 to spend. By shopping around, some DIY and being smart, it is my goal to have a gorgeous, stunning wedding, on a reasonable budget. Other than that, I think I'm pretty damn fun. I can be sassy and sarcastic at times, and I love fashion - especially shoes.
